verse, well turned to alarm us, that these "ravening wolves" really do appear before us
in sheep's clothing:
Not every one that saith unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven;
but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in
thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: Depart from me, ye that work

iniquity .
We can, therefore, conclude, that neither prophecies that come to pass, nor miracles
performed, are a safeguard against "ravening wolves". It is important to know this,
because the indication we are given is precise.
Jesus says that the end will come when the Gospel will be preached throughout the
15
world . Today, this is an accomplished fact. And at that time - our time:
There shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great miracles and
16
prodigies, insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect .
