                   and if the notes MI and RE of the Great octave and of the lateral octave resound

                   together. As we have seen already the clearing of the interval between the FA and the
                   MI of the former takes place through the development of organic life on Earth,

                   particularly in its note LA. Now, at this level, man's efforts have created a disequilibrium:

                   technical progress and the rapid development of the population have prodigiously

                   accentuated the biological and material influences emitted, at the cost of psychic and,
                   even more, spiritual energies. The pile of energies is, therefore, incomplete and the

                   delay in the domain of Faith and Hope urgently requires the formation and the action of

                   the forerunners. The fate of humanity, and that of our Ray of Creation depend on the

                   value of their work and on their accession to Knowledge.

                                                              *
                                                          *      *

                     We must add a few words regarding the conditions in which this work should be

                   carried out. Esoteric action can never take place in a void, but in a context where the

                   constituted authorities, in the largest sense of the term, play a decisive role. We have
                   seen the role they played in Christ's mission. The core who wanted to follow Him could

                   not conquer the resistance they encountered, nor the hostility of the forces which

                   invoked the traditions established by man, nor the call of blood. A similar situation may

                   arise. The period in which we live is a period of transition, particularly unstable, which,
                   on the political, social and economical planes, tends to break away from the imperatives
