self towards the Real, while developing his Personality until the second Birth. According

to historical accounts, the Word is spread by those who have reached the level of the
inward man. From Palestine, the Gospel spread to the Greek world, ancient Asia, then to

the Gentiles of the Roman Empire and, through them, to Europe and north Africa.

However, one may judge European hegemony during the last few centuries, it was the

expansion that accompanied it which was responsible for the dissemination of Christ's
word all over the globe. The technics it discovered or developed have realized many of

the conditions necessary for the Fulfilment, such as the birth of a planetary

consciousness, the growth of the population, etc. The Divine will uses man's ambitions

and passions for its own aims or goals and the realization of these ends often appears as
a by-product of the most unidealistic human action.

But once they cease in one way or another to serve divine ends, human actions lose

their raison d'être. This is why European hegemony has lost its meaning in our time. But

before being drowned in Lethe, it engendered the international Institutions which
contain the germ of the organisms which, little by little, should lead humanity to the full

consciousness of its unity and bequeath to it institutions conforming to this idea.
