This is why it is so important and so urgent to form a new elite capable of overturning

the false scale of values established by the deified Personality.

We must also note that humanity is in a much more critical condition today than

it was on the eve of the second fall. We have already stated that a decisive test awaits it:

the unrooting of the lie. The Era of the Holy Ghost excludes any compromise with the
Anti-Truth. The lie, in any form, would be an unpardonable blasphemy which will,

automatically, bring about the third fall. The result would be fatal, as we have indicated

                                                                                                       25
in our analysis of the option contained in the second epistle of the Apostle St. Peter ,
and which we are quoting once again now because of its immense importance:

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the

heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent

                                                                                       26
heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up .

                                                              *

                                                          *      *

We will have reason to hope only if the forerunners of the coming Era prove

themselves capable of accomplishing their task. We repeat, the danger is greater today
than it was on the eve of the second fall; but, on another hand, the risk of failure is less

because the forerunners are numerous, whereas John the Baptist was alone. Today, the

work of the forerunners is a collective task, and this fact alone
