This happened after the first fall, that of Adam and Eve. Following this, until the

Saviour's advent, divine Grace, symbolized by the Covenant with the chosen people,

provided humanity with countless opportunities to escape perdition.

But the second fall was much more serious than the first. And the Cycle of the
Son, which should have been the Cycle of Triumph for man, became the Cycle of

Repentance. Yet, even in this form, it is still marked by divine Grace which, according to

Christ's own words, pardons the sin and the blasphemy against the Father and the
                       16
                   Son .

There is only one sin which will not be forgiven, neither in this world, neither in

                                                                              17
the world to come: it is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost . Today, this warning is of
burning topical interest and we must stop to think it over. Looking back, we can see

that, at the end of the Cycle of the Father, man had not atoned enough for the
                                                                                                       18
consequences of the first fall, since the Son of Man came to save that which was lost .
It is only too evident that the Cycle of the Son has not been a Christian cycle: the basic

principles of Christianity: the love of God and, through Him, the love of men, including

enemies - has been applied to a very limited degree. This cycle is the tragic proof of an
unequal struggle in each one of us, between the light and the darkness. But, as time

goes by, from one cycle to another, the degree of truth demanded of man becomes

greater and greater. We will come back to this point soon. But, first of all, it is important

                   to ask the
